Urgent Appeal: Police Hunt for David Craig Slater After Ankle Monitor Removal

UPDATE: Police are urgently seeking public assistance to locate David Craig Slater, a 36-year-old man who allegedly removed his electronic monitoring device. Authorities report that Slater was last seen in the Maddington area on the morning of August 6.

Officials believe Slater tampered with and removed his court-mandated ankle monitor, prompting an immediate appeal for information on his whereabouts. His current location remains unknown, raising concerns for public safety.

Slater is described as approximately 182 cm tall, of solid build, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a dark complexion. He has a distinctive tattoo on the front-right side of his neck that reads “Penny” in cursive script. Police have issued a warning to the public: if spotted, do not approach Slater.

“We urge anyone who sees Mr. Slater to contact police immediately,” said a police spokesperson.

Slater is known to frequent several locations, including Maddington, Gosnells, Northam, and Brookton. Authorities are keen to capture him swiftly, and anyone with immediate sightings is encouraged to call police at 131 444.
