Urgent Blessing of Pets at Allora Churches This Sunday

UPDATE: The Allora-Clifton Anglican Parish is inviting pets and their owners for a special blessing this Sunday, October 5, 2025, in honor of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. This unique event aims to celebrate the joy and comfort that pets bring into our lives.

Services will take place at 8 AM at All Saints’ Clifton and at 10 AM at St David’s, Allora. Attendees are encouraged to bring their beloved animals to receive blessings from Rev. Courtney, who will also pray over pictures of pets, especially for those unsure of their animal’s behavior.

All animals must be leashed or crated to ensure safety during the event, making it a welcoming and secure environment for everyone. Jan Hemphill will arrive with her cat in style, showcasing the festive spirit of the occasion.

This event not only honors St. Francis, who lived a life of simplicity and love for God’s creations, but also strengthens the bond between humans and their furry companions. The parish welcomes all pets and their owners, creating a community atmosphere filled with joy and reverence.

Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the special connection between humans and animals. Be part of this heartwarming event that promises to bring comfort and blessings to all involved. Share this news and spread the word—let’s make this Sunday a memorable day for pets and their owners in Allora!
