Urgent: Fatal Crash Shuts Mitchell Freeway in Butler, Avoid Area

URGENT UPDATE: Motorists are being warned to avoid the Mitchell Freeway in Butler following a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 8:16 PM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. At least one person has lost their life, and officials have not yet confirmed if there are additional fatalities.

Emergency services, including St John WA ambulances and firefighters, are actively responding to the scene. Major crash investigators have also been deployed to assess the situation and gather crucial evidence.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of the Mitchell Freeway are completely closed between Romeo Road and Butler Boulevard. Authorities are urging motorists to seek alternative routes, as significant congestion is reported in the area.
