Urgent Police Release CCTV of Woman in West Albury House Fire

URGENT UPDATE: Police have just released CCTV images of a woman linked to a suspicious house fire that ravaged a property in West Albury. The images and description were shared on July 23, 2025, as authorities intensify their investigation into the fire that occurred on April 27, 2025.

At approximately 1:15 AM, emergency services responded to a blaze on Southern View Drive, arriving to find the house engulfed in flames. Fire and Rescue NSW crews battled the fire for several hours, but the property sustained extensive damage. The Murray River Police District has established a crime scene, treating the fire as suspicious.

Authorities urge anyone who may have seen the woman or has relevant information to come forward. A police spokesperson stated, “Police are releasing CCTV images of a woman who was seen in the vicinity of the fire, who may be able to assist with inquiries.” The woman is described as having a thin build and blonde hair, wearing black pants and a white jacket, and carrying a bag at the time of the incident.
