URGENT UPDATE: The Vantage Foundation has officially launched a groundbreaking nationwide program aimed at equipping over 1,500 educators and students with vital skills in AI-driven financial data analysis. This initiative, in partnership with the Banking Academy of Vietnam and more than 10 leading universities, is crucial as Vietnam’s financial sector rapidly embraces digital transformation.
Kicking off on March 12 and continuing through March 14, 2026, at the Banking Academy’s Hanoi campus, the program drew interest from more than 3,000 students across the nation. The initiative, titled “Financial Data Analysis and Decision-Making in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (AI),” combines in-person sessions with virtual participation, ensuring widespread access to this essential training.
As Vietnam strengthens its digital capabilities in finance, this program comes at a pivotal moment. Participants will explore how AI-powered analytics and predictive modeling are reshaping financial institutions’ approaches to market data and strategic decisions. The collaboration involves notable institutions such as the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, National Economics University, and Vietnam National University.
A highlight of the program is the Training-of-Trainers (ToT) component, designed to enhance AI-driven financial analytics skills among university faculty. Over 250 professors took part, including dedicated educators who traveled more than 1,500 kilometers from Can Tho University to attend, showcasing an urgent demand for AI integration within academic curricula.
Industry leaders contributed insights into real-world AI applications in finance, with Ms. Truong Thi Minh Trang from FiinGroup leading discussions on financial data analytics. Participants also experienced a live demonstration of AI-enabled trading technologies by Dr. Vu Xuan Tung from Goline Financial Technology JSC, illustrating the practical applications of AI in today’s financial markets.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Deputy Director of the Banking Academy, emphasized the urgency of adapting to AI’s transformative impact. “Artificial intelligence is no longer a future concept. It has already become a reality reshaping the structure of the global financial industry,” he stated. He highlighted the necessity for finance professionals to possess the skills to interpret complex datasets and respond to market changes swiftly.
During the student session on March 14, Mr. Adam Siew, Vice President of Business Development at Vantage Foundation, underscored AI’s role in revolutionizing financial analysis. “Processes that once required weeks can now be completed in seconds,” he noted, stressing that responsible human judgment remains essential in guiding technological advancements.
The program culminated in a certificate presentation ceremony, reinforcing the commitment to cultivate a pipeline of data-literate financial professionals who can navigate the complexities of global markets. As financial systems worldwide evolve under AI’s influence, initiatives like this will be critical in preparing future leaders in finance.
By investing in education today, Vietnam is paving the way for tomorrow’s innovators in intelligent finance—an investment that resonates beyond borders.
