Virgin Australia Launches 1 Point Rewards Store with Major Prizes

URGENT UPDATE: Virgin Australia has just announced the exciting revival of its Velocity Frequent Flyers 1 Point Rewards Store, set to take place in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The one-day pop-up stores will allow members to redeem just one Velocity point for high-value items, including Dyson Airwraps, Bose QuietComfort headphones, and exclusive lounge access passes.

The first event kicks off in Sydney on August 22 at 8 AM, located at Pitt Street. Following Sydney’s launch, Melbourne and Brisbane will also participate, with dates and locations to be announced soon. Anticipation is building as eager members prepare to cash in their points for coveted items.

The 1 Point Rewards Store features a thrilling mystery prize carousel, a claw machine, and shelves lined with enticing prizes. Attendees can try their luck at games with the hope of landing sought-after rewards. “All you need is a balance of one point,” a Virgin Australia representative stated. If you’re short on points, the cabin crew will guide you on quick ways to earn them on-site.

The atmosphere will be lively, with DJs providing entertainment while participants wait in line. Rewards are limited to one per customer, but adventurous members may consider traveling to other cities for additional chances to win.

This pop-up initiative aims to showcase how accessible and rewarding the Velocity Frequent Flyer program is. According to Nick Rohrlach, CEO of Velocity Frequent Flyer, “Velocity is all about getting our members to rewards faster.” He emphasized that the store highlights the demand for more achievable rewards, addressing the needs of 59 percent of loyalty program members.

The Velocity Frequent Flyers 1 Point Rewards Store follows a successful event from 2023 in Melbourne, where prizes included Dyson Supersonic hairdryers, Ghd products, and designer jewelry. This year promises to be even more significant, with limited stock available.

To participate, members must have at least one point in their Velocity account and the app downloaded. Rewards are available while stocks last, so members are urged to act quickly.

May the odds be ever in your favor as you prepare to seize these incredible rewards! Stay tuned for updates on the Melbourne and Brisbane locations and dates.
