The incident occurred just before midnight on Saturday, December 16, 2023, when a white Toyota Yaris plowed into a group of eight pedestrians near the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Aerodrome Road in Maroochydore.
Witnesses report that the car, driven by Guilherme Dal Bo, 38, struck the group after a confrontation at a nearby pedestrian crossing. The impact left several individuals injured, with the woman being critically hurt. She was initially taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital before being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Monday night.
