Woman Hospitalized After Urgent Doubleview Blaze This Morning

UPDATE: A woman in her 70s has been rushed to the hospital following a fierce fire that erupted in Doubleview, Perth, earlier today. The blaze was reported at approximately 11:10 AM and quickly engulfed a single-storey unit in a residential apartment complex.

Emergency responders from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) acted swiftly, deploying seven fire appliances to the scene. Firefighters successfully contained the flames to the affected unit, extinguishing the fire by 12:30 PM.

St John WA paramedics were on site and provided immediate assistance to the injured woman, who was then transported to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for treatment. The severity of her injuries remains unclear at this time, but authorities are monitoring her condition closely.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with officials working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. No other injuries have been reported, and the fire was contained without spreading to adjacent units.

This incident underscores the importance of fire safety and the swift response of emergency services in protecting the community. As investigations continue, local residents are urged to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.
