Women Unite for $10 Pink Ribbon Brunch, Raising Funds NOW

BREAKING: A vibrant gathering of women dressed in pink took place at the Windsor RSL on October 30 to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Pink Ribbon Brunch, hosted by Deputy Mayor Sarah McMahon, aimed to raise essential funds while fostering community connections.

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as attendees were greeted by stunning floral arrangements and pink decor, including an eye-catching donut display. Each seat featured a thoughtful care package, complete with heart-shaped sunglasses and pink scrunchies, ensuring everyone felt included in this important cause.

Attendee Ali Hilliard from the Hawkesbury Veteran and Family Hub expressed her appreciation, stating, “We are here to raise vital funds and have the opportunity to connect with other like-minded people in the community. It’s absolutely amazing.”

The event also highlighted the personal connection many have with breast cancer. Jacky Turamo from The Jeremiah Project remarked, “A lot of people on our team have been affected by breast cancer. It’s important to come together, share a meal, and connect.”

The brunch featured a luxurious spread of pastries, savory bites, and sweet treats, creating a high tea experience that left attendees in awe. Raffle tickets were sold, with prizes including tickets to see the Olivia Newton-John show and a bottle of Xanadu wine from Margaret River.

As the event wrapped up, Deputy Mayor Sarah McMahon praised the community’s efforts, stating, “A huge thank you to Windsor RSL for hosting today’s Pink Ribbon Breakfast. Everyone has been touched by someone in their family or a loved one by cancer. Coming together to raise funds and connect is vital.”

Tickets were priced at just $10, with every dollar going directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This initiative transcended fundraising; it was about women supporting women, sharing stories, and building hope.

As the morning concluded, participants left not only with full stomachs but with new friendships and shared laughter. Attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to a significant cause.

For those wishing to support this vital initiative, donations can still be made through Windsor RSL’s community page, with all proceeds benefiting the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Join the fight against breast cancer and make a difference today, one cup of tea at a time.
