Zelensky arrived in Miami overnight, indicating he would discuss both security and economic agreements with Trump. He expressed intentions to address “territorial issues,” especially concerning the contested Donbas region in eastern Ukraine, where tensions remain high. In a tragic incident, Russian strikes in the city of Sloviansk resulted in injuries and a fatality, highlighting the ongoing violence as the leaders met.
