BREAKING NEWS: Savic Motorcycles, Australia’s trailblazing electric motorcycle manufacturer, is ramping up for a global takeover with a powerhouse leadership team just announced. Based in West Melbourne, this innovative company is not only building electric bikes but also redefining the future of two-wheeled transport.
CEO Dennis Savic is at the helm, assembling an all-star cast of industry experts that includes Marc Alexander, a renowned tech entrepreneur, who joins as the company’s first full-time CTO. The executive lineup boasts heavyweights like former Allianz CFO Mark Raumer, ex-PACCAR COO Chris Gaspardis, and Victoria Brown, a veteran from McLaren and Rolls-Royce, now serving as Chief Growth Officer. With this impressive team, Savic is set to accelerate production of its highly anticipated C-Series motorbike.
Savic is on track to manufacture bikes on a rolling basis, aiming for profitability within months. “I could not be more excited about our team’s incredible knowledge and skills,” Savic stated. The first deliveries began in February 2023, with a staggering 230 eager customers already lined up.
Production is in full swing at the West Melbourne factory, where cutting-edge assembly lines and specialized tooling are now operational. The C-Series has captivated riders, boasting smooth handling and an impressive 200Nm of torque. Early customers are praising the bike’s unique customization options and smart Edge computing technology that adapts to individual riding styles for a tailored experience.
Savic’s leadership team is further strengthened by a non-executive board packed with global expertise in electric vehicle manufacturing and renewable energy. Nicholas Adamo, a top automotive advisor and owner of Australia’s only private racetrack, chairs the board, joined by Kel Kearns, who is now crafting EV batteries for Daimler and Isuzu in the US, and Justin Hocevar, who has led APAC sales for automotive giants like Renault and Jaguar.
The C-Series Alpha stands out with its stunning design, inspired by classic cafe racers but equipped with modern electric power. It features a robust 16.2kWh battery and a powerful motor that accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Built with advanced Brembo brakes and a custom ABS system from Bosch Australia, safety and performance are top priorities.
Savic’s regenerative braking technology extends the C-Series’ urban range to over 200 km on a single charge, while charging is efficient—requiring less than 6 hours for a full charge using a standard outlet. The bike also features multiple ride modes and a user-friendly touchscreen interface for seamless control.
Pricing for the Savic C-Series Alpha starts at A$29,990 plus on-road costs, making it a competitive player in the growing electric motorcycle market. With the recent assembly of this powerhouse team and production ramping up, Savic Motorcycles is poised to change the landscape of electric transportation.
As they gear up for global expansion, all eyes will be on Savic to see how they meet their ambitious targets in the coming months. For more information, visit their official site at https://www.savicmotorcycles.com.
