New Restaurant The Back Nine Set to Elevate Dining at Golf Course Clubhouse

The Joseph M. Bartholomew, Sr. Municipal Golf Course is preparing to enhance its culinary offerings with the opening of The Back Nine restaurant in January 2024. This new venue aims to establish itself as a notable dining destination, succeeding the popular Munch Factory, which operated in the clubhouse since 2020.

Recent signage for The Back Nine has sparked excitement among local patrons. Operator Keith Swainer II reported that numerous inquiries have flooded in regarding the restaurant’s opening. “Everybody’s asking when we comin’,” Swainer stated. “We just put our signs up, and we had about 30 people come in and ask us. So, it has been a pretty good reception so far.”

The Back Nine will feature a specialized menu tailored for golfers, including classic options such as club sandwiches, hot dogs, and hamburgers. To enhance the golfing experience, the restaurant plans to employ golf cart servers who will take orders and deliver food and beverages directly on the course. Additionally, golfers will have the convenience of placing sit-down orders by phone while enjoying their time on the greens.

Elevated New Orleans Cuisine for All Patrons

Beyond the golf-centric offerings, The Back Nine will also provide an elevated menu showcasing traditional New Orleans cuisine, appealing to both golfers and the general public. This diverse selection will feature dishes such as steak, fish, shrimp, and a unique take on chicken and waffles, dubbed chicken-and-beignets.

The restaurant will include a full bar, ensuring that visitors can unwind with a drink after their rounds. Moreover, The Back Nine is set to remain open after the golf course closes, catering to the dinner crowd and expanding its reach within the local community.

With the anticipated opening just around the corner, The Back Nine is positioned to become a key player in the New Orleans dining scene, drawing both golf enthusiasts and food lovers alike. As the city continues to celebrate its rich culinary heritage, this new establishment promises to deliver a memorable dining experience in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
