Wyndham Young Scientist Competition Launches for Creative Minds

URGENT UPDATE: The Wyndham Young Scientist competition is now officially open, inviting young innovators from across the municipality to showcase their brightest science and technology projects. Students in years 7-12 who live or attend school in Wyndham have until September 4, 2025 to submit their entries as part of the Wyndham Learning Festival.

This exciting initiative aims to ignite a passion for science and technology within the community. Participants are encouraged to link their projects to real-world issues affecting Wyndham, fostering a spirit of exploration and problem-solving that can lead to a better future for all.

Students can enter as individuals or in teams, with a maximum of six entries allowed per school. Each project must include a summary detailing the invention, its necessity, and its potential benefits for the Wyndham community.

The competition will culminate on September 6, 2025, when shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to present their creations to a panel of three judges. The judging criteria will focus on innovation, communication, creativity, and overall presentation, all aimed at promoting a brighter future for Wyndham.

This is a crucial moment for young minds to shine and make a difference. The competition not only provides a platform for budding scientists but also emphasizes the importance of community engagement and collaboration in tackling local challenges.

Participants can register for the competition at youngmindsofwyndham.com.au/registration. Don’t miss this chance to be part of an inspiring movement that celebrates creativity and scientific inquiry!

Stay tuned for more updates as the competition progresses and support our young innovators in their quest to change the world!
