Chef Debbie Lee Launches Two Eateries at OCVIBE Market Hall

A new culinary destination is taking shape in Anaheim, California, as renowned chef and cookbook author Debbie Lee prepares to launch her two new eateries at the OCVIBE Market Hall. The first of these concepts, named Mokja—which means “let’s eat!” in Korean—focuses on delivering accessible Korean-American comfort food to the community. This announcement marks a significant step in the development of the 50,000-square-foot Market Hall, set to open in March 2024.

Located at 2610 E Katella Ave, Mokja will celebrate the vibrant flavors of Korean street food. The menu will feature a variety of comforting snacks, innovative breakfast sandwiches, and specialty coffee drinks, all designed for casual dining experiences and everyday gatherings. “Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people can come together to enjoy good food and each other’s company,” said Debbie Lee in a statement.

In addition to Mokja, Lee will introduce a second concept called Pado. Together, these establishments will be the first culinary offerings revealed for the Market Hall, which aims to host a total of 21 different food concepts alongside six themed bars. The two-story venue is part of a larger 100-acre development project known as OCVIBE, expected to transform the area into Orange County’s new downtown district.

The OCVIBE development, strategically located across from the Honda Center and the Amtrak transit hub, is designed to meet the growing demand for dining options in a bustling entertainment zone. As part of this comprehensive project, new residences, office spaces, and parks will also be constructed, further enhancing the community’s appeal.

Mokja and Pado are set to become key players in the culinary landscape of Anaheim, offering residents and visitors alike a taste of Korean comfort food in a vibrant, community-oriented setting. As the Market Hall approaches its opening date, excitement continues to build around this innovative new addition to Orange County.
