Goop Kitchen, the health-focused fast-casual restaurant founded by Gwyneth Paltrow, is preparing to launch a new location in San Diego’s One Paseo mixed-use development. The restaurant will occupy the space previously held by Tender Greens at 3725 Paseo Place. Although an exact opening date has yet to be announced, it is expected that the new Goop Kitchen will welcome customers sometime in 2026.
According to Bern McGovern, a San Diego realtor who shares local restaurant updates on his northcounty_sd Instagram account, the new location will expand Goop Kitchen’s presence in Southern California. The marketing materials for One Paseo, available on retailinsite.net, confirm that the restaurant will feature a 2,562-square-foot space in Suite 0840 of Building 8.
Health-Conscious Dining Experience
Established in 2021, Goop Kitchen aims to provide nutritious meals through a casual takeout and delivery model. Currently, all Goop Kitchen locations operate without indoor dining, although select sites do offer outdoor patio seating on a first-come, first-served basis. The restaurant emphasizes the use of clean ingredients, including organic and free-range chicken, salmon sourced from the fjords of Norway, and locally sourced organic produce.
Goop Kitchen’s offerings boast a range of dishes designed to meet their stringent health standards. All sauces and marinades labeled as GCC adhere to the “Goop Certified Clean” standard, which prohibits processed sugars, gluten, dairy, peanuts, and preservatives. The menu features salads, wraps, turkey meatballs, pesto pasta, creamy mac and cheese, and even a whimsical “Pepperoni Potts” pizza, named in homage to Paltrow’s character from the Ironman franchise.
For those seeking heartier options, Goop Kitchen serves a whole organic rotisserie chicken, herb-roasted salmon, and turkey Bolognese. Additionally, the restaurant offers meal packages such as “Goop for You,” which includes one main dish—options include half chicken, herb-roasted salmon, or half cauliflower—along with two sides, two sauces, and a side salad. A “Goop for Two” meal is also available, catering to those dining with company.
