H&H Bagels Expands to Palm Desert with New Location

H&H Bagels, a renowned bagel brand originating from New York City, is set to open its first location in the Coachella Valley region. This new establishment will be located at 73131 Country Club Drive in Palm Desert, California, marking a significant expansion for the franchise as it continues to grow across the state.

The Palm Desert location will occupy 1,500 square feet and is expected to open its doors by the end of the year, according to co-franchisee John Santos. He, along with his wife, Ali Santos, and father-in-law, Brian Murphy, plans to operate the store daily from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family has experience in franchising, already running multiple Jimmy John’s outlets and a Nothing Bundt Cake store in the area.

H&H Bagels has built a reputation for its unique bagels, which are made from kettle-boiled dough using unbromated, unbleached flour and all-natural, non-GMO ingredients. The company has been actively expanding its footprint, with plans for 70 new locations across the country, as reported earlier this year by The Business Journals.

“We could not be more excited to bring our New York City bagels to another community in California,” said CEO Jay Rushin. He noted the positive reception H&H Bagels received during its opening in Santa Monica, expressing confidence in the brand’s success in Palm Desert.

The Santos family is committed not only to their business but also to community service. They intend to engage with local organizations and support nonprofits such as Ronald McDonald House, Safe House of the Desert, and Martha’s Village & Kitchen. Through leadership programs and service initiatives, they aim to contribute positively to the community they will serve.

As H&H Bagels continues to carve its niche in the California market, the Palm Desert opening represents a promising chapter in the brand’s expansion strategy, bringing a taste of New York to the West Coast.
