Luna Grill, a rapidly expanding Mediterranean fast-casual chain, has announced plans to open a new location in Riverside, California, in 2024. The new restaurant will be situated at the Park Sierra Shopping Center, specifically at 10920 Magnolia Ave. This unit, measuring 1,500 square feet, is currently under construction and will occupy a space previously held by Burger IM.
According to Newmark, a brokerage firm involved in the deal, this opening is part of a larger initiative to enhance the food and beverage offerings within the shopping center. Other tenants in the property include Blaze Pizza, California Fish Grill, Subway, and ShareTea, indicating a diverse culinary landscape for local patrons.
Plans for Expansion Across Southern California and Beyond
The Riverside unit is among several planned openings for Luna Grill in Southern California throughout 2026. Additional locations are expected in cities including Corona, San Clemente, and Pico Rivera. In addition to its California expansion, Luna Grill aims to strengthen its presence in Texas and Arizona, as outlined by Chief Marketing Officer Billy Grenham. He described these initiatives as part of “aggressive growth plans for next year.”
Founded in 2004 in San Diego, Luna Grill has evolved into a brand known for its health-conscious Mediterranean cuisine. The company prides itself on using fresh, non-GMO ingredients and responsibly raised meats, with meals prepared to order. With a current portfolio of 55 operational units, the brand’s commitment to quality and sustainability resonates with an increasingly health-oriented consumer base.
As Luna Grill continues to grow, the new Riverside location is poised to attract both local residents and visitors seeking a quick yet nutritious dining option. The anticipated opening reflects ongoing trends in the fast-casual dining sector, where convenience and quality increasingly go hand in hand.
