Situated at 8112 East Coast Hwy, the establishment is known for its scenic views along the Crystal Cove coastline. Renovation plans were initially submitted to the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Environmental Health Division in November 2023, but both submissions have faced approval delays and are currently pending further revisions.
Mark Levy, President and COO of Mastro’s Restaurants, confirmed to What Now OC that the renovation will take place following the renewal of the restaurant’s lease. The plans include updates to the interior design and the addition of a patio enclosure. Despite the ongoing renovations, Mastro’s Ocean Club will remain open to guests, ensuring that service continues without disruption.
The restaurant operates daily, with varying hours: from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Sundays, 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM from Monday to Wednesday, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Thursdays and Fridays, and 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM on Saturdays. Mastro’s is noted for its vibrant atmosphere, featuring live music every night and a formal dress code, as detailed on its official website.
The menu at Mastro’s Ocean Club includes a selection of prime steaks, seafood towers, sushi, and signature sides, with the Warm Butter Cake being a standout dish. The bar offers handcrafted cocktails, a carefully curated list of award-winning wines, and premium spirits, appealing to a wide range of tastes.
