V/Line Adjusts Schedule for Australia Day Public Holiday

V/Line has announced changes to its services for the upcoming Australia Day public holiday on January 26, 2025. On this day, all V/Line services across the state will operate on a Saturday timetable, with the exception of the Swan Hill line, which will follow a Sunday schedule.

Passengers traveling on the Swan Hill line should note that the 3:47 PM train from Eaglehawk to Southern Cross will depart later than usual, at 6:48 PM on Australia Day. This adjustment is part of the effort to accommodate the Sunday timetable for that line.

In addition to these changes, all night coach services on Australia Day have been cancelled. For those traveling to and from Geelong, the Apollo Bay summer timetable will be in effect.

For further information on travel times and to plan their journeys, passengers can utilize the V/Line journey planner available on the official website: https://www.vline.com.au/Plan-trip-buy-tickets. Additionally, individuals can reach out to a V/Line team member by calling 1800 800 007.

These service adjustments aim to ensure that passengers have a clear understanding of their travel options on a day that holds significant meaning for many Australians.
