BTS’s RM Reveals Progress on New Album and World Tour Plans

RM, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, has announced that the band is “working diligently” on their upcoming album. This announcement follows the group’s highly anticipated return to the music scene after a lengthy hiatus due to mandatory military service in South Korea.

In a recent message to fans on the platform Weverse, RM shared insights into the creative process. He mentioned that he is currently in Los Angeles with his bandmates, expressing a mix of excitement and nostalgia: “It’s already been a little over two months since I was discharged from the military,” the 30-year-old artist noted. He added, “I live, work, and play with the members. It’s a really strange experience.” The phrase “Bon Voyage Pyeongchang” underscored his reflections on their journey as a band.

RM emphasized his commitment to the new project, stating, “Making something ‘together’ with these friends, I’m going to commit myself to this moment.” His dedication is evident as he reflected on the importance of collaboration, saying, “I’m looking for what I’ll become. Something I’ve forgotten for too long, the moments that are far away together. I hope that it will be a kind of beauty.”

In a heartfelt conclusion to his message, RM reassured fans, saying, “I miss you. It’s a long time… I guarantee you, I’ll be there soon. I’ll do my best until then. I love you.” This connection with their fanbase, known as the ARMY, remains a central theme for the band.

BTS confirmed their comeback last month, announcing plans for a new album and a world tour. “We’re also planning a world tour alongside the album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are,” the group stated. This new album will be their first release since 2020, marking a significant milestone in their career.

The upcoming tour is particularly notable as it will be BTS’s first since their “Permission to Dance on Stage” concerts in 2022. Each BTS member had to pause their individual projects to complete 18 months of military service, a requirement for all men in South Korea.

As they prepare for this new chapter, BTS conveyed their collaborative spirit, stating, “Starting in July 2023, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.”

With fans eagerly awaiting both the album and the tour, BTS is set to create more remarkable moments in their already illustrious career.
