Celebrities Honor Hulk Hogan Following His Death at 71

Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, passed away at the age of 71 on July 24, 2025. He suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida, with emergency services arriving shortly before he was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital. Hogan’s death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment and sports communities, igniting a wave of tributes recognizing his significant impact on professional wrestling and popular culture.

Tributes from Fellow Stars

Among those paying tribute to Hogan is Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, who shared a poignant memory on Instagram. He posted a photo of himself with Hogan from their collaboration on the 1982 film Rocky III, where Hogan played the role of wrestler Thunderlips. Stallone reflected on their early meeting, stating, “I had the pleasure of meeting this brilliant personality and showman when he was 26 years old. He was absolutely wonderful, and his amazing skill made Rocky III incredibly special. My heart breaks. I think that he’s gone.”

Retired wrestler Ric Flair, who enjoyed a long friendship with Hogan, expressed his disbelief at the news. On Instagram, Flair wrote, “I am absolutely shocked to hear about the passing of my close friend @hulkhogan! Hulk has been by my side since we started in the wrestling business. Our friendship has meant the world to me.” Flair reminisced about Hogan’s support during difficult times, including a hospital visit when Flair faced serious health issues. “Hulkster, no one will ever compare to you! Rest in peace, my friend!”

Donald Trump Jr. also shared his condolences on social media, posting a selfie with Hogan and captioning it, “R.I.P to a legend.” Hogan had publicly supported his father, Donald Trump, during his campaign for re-election as U.S. president in the final year of his life.
