Treat Dad to Unique Experiences This Father’s Day

The Claremont Hotel

Father’s Day, celebrated on June 16, 2024, offers a variety of exciting experiences for families looking to treat their fathers. From unique dining options to adventurous activities, there are plenty of ways to make the day special.

Golf and Caricatures in Claremont

In Claremont, a popular pub will transform its courtyard into a mini golf course featuring nine holes on Father’s Day. From 13:00 to 16:00, families can enjoy live caricatures as artists create quirky portraits. The pub will also offer meal deals and host a “Dress As Your Dad” competition, with a chance for children to win a pair of New Balance shoes for their father. Due to expected demand, early bookings are recommended.

Axe Throwing in Fremantle and Northbridge

For those with adventurous fathers, an axe-throwing centre located inside FOMO Freo in Fremantle and on John Street in Northbridge presents a fun opportunity. Dads can throw axes for free on Father’s Day; simply use the code FREEDAD when making a booking to secure the offer. This activity promises a thrill and a chance for fathers to showcase their skills in a unique setting.

Island Escape to Rottnest

Families can whisk Dad away for a day trip to Rottnest Island. Rottnest Express is offering a 20 percent discount on ferry fares for Father’s Day. Once on the island, diners can head to the Italian restaurant Isola, which features a special menu for the occasion. For $65, guests can enjoy two courses, or for $75, three courses, with an à la carte kids’ menu available to please the entire family.

Beachside Dining in Cottesloe

Cottesloe’s beachside restaurant invites guests to treat Dad to a memorable lunch or dinner. For $95 per person, head chef Caio Matiussi will serve an Argentine-inspired menu including steak tartare tostadas, smoked provoleta empanada, and pink snapper ceviche. Diners can look forward to mains such as grilled market fish and slow-cooked short rib, rounded off with a silky dulce de leche flan. Guests wishing to elevate their experience can opt for a Harvey beef reserve Angus tomahawk upgrade for $145.

Free Entry for Dads in South Perth

South Perth offers a family-friendly outing at the local zoo, where fathers can enjoy free entry on Father’s Day. This setting is perfect for fathers to entertain their children with their best dad jokes. Families can take advantage of this special to explore the zoo’s attractions together while indulging in light-hearted humor.

With various activities and dining options available, families can ensure that this Father’s Day is filled with memorable moments and experiences tailored for their dads. These local offerings provide a mix of fun, food, and family bonding, ensuring a celebration that every father will appreciate.
