This agreement, revealed on February 2, 2026, broadens Formerra’s medical materials portfolio, focusing on high-performance polyamides essential for various healthcare applications. The partnership was officially launched at the MD&M West 2026 event, taking place in Anaheim, California, from February 3 to 5.
The collaboration builds upon a two-year relationship that previously introduced Evonik’s VESTAMID® and TROGAMID® families to Formerra’s lineup. With this new phase, Formerra aims to provide healthcare grades specifically designed for fluid handling, drug delivery, diagnostic systems, and surgical instrument components. These materials are critical for applications requiring durability, clarity, and chemical resistance.
Steve Harmon, Director of Key Accounts at Formerra, emphasized the importance of stable supply and robust regulatory support for healthcare customers. “Evonik’s healthcare grades bring the combination of durability, processing consistency, and documentation support that medical manufacturers require,” he stated.
