Tabcorp’s Queensland wagering division, UBET, has pledged its support for men’s health by donating $100,000 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia (PCFA) for the second consecutive year. The announcement came during the UBET Stradbroke Handicap at Doomben on June 10, 2023, where Adam Rytenskild, Managing Director of Wagering and Media at Tabcorp, presented the cheque to Judith Clements AC, Chair of the PCFA Board in Queensland.
Mr. Rytenskild expressed his satisfaction with UBET’s ongoing partnership with the foundation. He highlighted that men constitute over 70 percent of UBET’s customer base, making the collaboration a natural fit for the brand. “Through our UBET brand, we communicate to men every day, and we are proud to help deliver the message about men’s health awareness,” he stated.
Clements acknowledged the significance of UBET’s support, emphasizing that the partnership not only contributes vital funds for research but also enhances awareness programs for men affected by prostate cancer. “Securing a partnership with a company like UBET, who share with PCFA a predominately male audience, is really powerful,” she said. Clements expressed gratitude for UBET’s generosity and looked forward to continuing the collaboration to benefit men’s health initiatives.
This donation is part of UBET’s broader commitment to engage its customer base in conversations around health issues that predominantly affect men. The funds will aid in supporting PCFA’s research efforts and awareness campaigns, thereby fostering a healthier community.
The partnership between UBET and PCFA exemplifies how businesses can play a pivotal role in addressing public health challenges while simultaneously connecting with their target audience. As UBET continues to champion men’s health, the collaboration reflects a strategic alignment between corporate responsibility and community engagement.
