Vacherot, a 26-year-old from the Principality of Monaco, achieved his historic win after a stunning semifinal performance against 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic. This unexpected victory set the stage for an all-French final against Rinderknech, who had previously eliminated four-time major finalist Daniil Medvedev in a thrilling semifinal match.
