Colts Shine in Berlin While Broncos Edge Raiders in Week 10

Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season showcased thrilling matchups, with the Indianapolis Colts defeating the Atlanta Falcons 31-25 and the Denver Broncos narrowly overcoming the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7. While both teams secured victories, lingering questions about consistency and performance remain.

Colts Showcase Offensive Power in Berlin

In a standout performance, Colts running back Jonathan Taylor rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns, marking the best individual performance by a running back this season. Despite this offensive explosion, the Colts struggled with consistency. Over their last two games, they amassed over 800 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons, yet penalties and missed protections marred their efforts.

The Colts’ offense, which has ranked as the top unit in the league for most of the season, faced uncharacteristic breakdowns. Coach Shane Steichen will seek to address these issues, particularly ahead of their next road game against the Kansas City Chiefs on November 23, 2025. Following a bye week, the Colts will aim to refine their execution to maintain their playoff aspirations.

Defensively, the Colts welcomed newly acquired cornerback Sauce Gardner, who played a pivotal role against Atlanta. Gardner, acquired from the New York Jets, logged a team-high 31 coverage snaps and nearly secured an interception, demonstrating his immediate impact.

Broncos Rely on Defense to Secure Narrow Win

The Denver Broncos’ defense proved pivotal in their narrow victory over the Raiders. Linebacker Alex Singleton emphasized the team’s commitment, stating, “Whatever we need to do, we do.” Despite facing challenges, including two interceptions by quarterback Bo Nix and a staggering seven punts, the Broncos have now won five games this season despite losing the turnover battle.

Currently leading the AFC West, the Broncos’ defensive statistics are noteworthy. With six sacks against the Raiders, they recorded a total of 46 sacks for the season, placing them on track to challenge the long-standing record of 72 sacks set by the 1984 Chicago Bears. This level of defensive performance is vital as the Broncos prepare to face the Chiefs on November 16, 2025.

Falcons and Raiders Face Uphill Battles

The Atlanta Falcons’ playoff hopes dimmed with their fourth consecutive loss. With a mere 4% chance of reaching the postseason, the Falcons’ defense allowed 519 total yards on Sunday, while the offense struggled significantly. Atlanta’s inability to convert on third downs (3-for-29 in their last three games) has compounded their challenges as they navigate a crucial stretch in the season.

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders, under head coach Pete Carroll, are grappling with significant offensive struggles. With four games this season scoring fewer than ten points and 29 consecutive games below 30 points, the team’s effectiveness is in question. Quarterback Geno Smith has faced criticism, with 12 interceptions marking a troubling trend.

As the season progresses, both the Falcons and Raiders must adapt quickly to avoid further setbacks. Their upcoming games will be critical in determining their paths moving forward.

In summary, while the Colts and Broncos celebrated victories in Week 10, both teams must address critical issues to sustain success as the playoffs approach. The upcoming matchups will be crucial in shaping their respective seasons.
