The championships are scheduled for March 18-19, 2023, with matches taking place at various venues in Rockhampton. The Centurions aim to build on their past performances, seeking to secure a top position in the tournament. Coach Rebecca Turner expressed optimism about the team’s potential, stating, “We have a strong lineup capable of competing with the best.”

In preparation for the championships, the Centurions have been training rigorously over the past few weeks. The squad has focused on both batting and bowling strategies to enhance their performance. Turner emphasized the importance of teamwork, saying, “Cricket is not just about individual talent; it’s about how well we work together as a unit.”

The North Queensland Zone Cricket Championships serve as an excellent opportunity for players to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience. The competition also acts as a platform for selectors to identify talent for higher-level representation, including potential spots on state teams.

As the Centurions gear up for the tournament, local supporters are eager to see how their team will perform. The community’s backing is expected to boost the players’ morale as they take the field in Rockhampton.
