Huawei Unveils Global AI+ Public Service Solutions at MWC 2026

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on March 6, 2026, Huawei introduced its Global AI+ Public Service Solution and the Shenzhen Longgang AI+ Public Service Global Demonstration Site. The event, organized by Huawei’s Government Public Services Digitalization Business Unit, brought together government representatives and partners from across the globe to explore the future of public services and the role of artificial intelligence in their transformation.

During the summit, Jason Slater, Chief of Digital Transformation and AI at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), emphasized the necessity of an inclusive and citizen-centered digital government. He remarked, “AI+ drives public services forward. Building an effective digital government is not just about deploying technology, but about building inclusive, citizen-centered and interoperable systems.”

Saeed Xia, Huawei’s representative, presented the Global Public Service Solution, highlighting the ongoing global development gap and digital divide. He noted persistent challenges within public services, such as low user satisfaction and inconvenience. Xia underscored that accelerating government digitalization is crucial for enhancing international standing and improving governance. The solution is structured on the principle of “1 digital foundation + 1 intelligent platform + N industry applications,” providing efficient and high-quality public services through streamlined processes and integrated capabilities.

The initiative aims to foster innovation by offering comprehensive data services, ultimately leading to an intelligent system characterized by “Chat-to-Process” features and smart decision-making.

At the summit, Chomparee Chompurat, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), shared insights on Thailand’s commitment to becoming an AI-enabled government. He stated, “Thailand is accelerating its transition to an AI-enabled intelligent government by leveraging robust ‘Cloud First’ infrastructure, responsible AI integration, and global public-private partnerships.”

Meanwhile, Carlos Eduardo Rodrigo Prado, Executive Director of the Bolivian Agency for Electronic Government and Information Technology (AGETIC), discussed Bolivia’s digital transformation vision, inspired by President Rodrigo Paz‘s goal of connecting Bolivia to the world. He outlined key measures aimed at establishing a digital nation and promoting inclusive smart services.

During the event, Bilgin Semiz, Director of Global Sales at Nextcloud, detailed how the company established a secure enterprise collaboration platform using Huawei Cloud. Customer representatives exchanged practical experiences and insights on AI infrastructure and the future of public services.

In a significant development, Huawei and the Shenzhen Longgang Government Service Center unveiled the Shenzhen Longgang AI+ Public Service Global Demonstration Site. This showcase, based on the Longgang District’s best practices, features an integrated operational model that connects district, street, community, and campus levels. The “AI+ Public Service” initiative has achieved notable success, with a customer service system that integrates hotlines, service counters, and self-service resources, resulting in a 98% hotline connectivity rate and over 95% accuracy in intelligent review processes.

Finally, Huawei launched the Global Public Service Ecosystem Alliance, which aims to consolidate industry resources to accelerate the implementation of AI-powered public services worldwide. Representatives from various sectors, including iSSTech, Linewell, Seeyon, Digihail, and Nexconn, participated in the launch, which signifies a collaborative effort to explore opportunities within the public service sector in the digital age.

Huawei’s initiatives at MWC 2026 represent a commitment to enhancing public services through advanced technology, aiming to bridge gaps and improve user experiences globally.
