V-Line services will operate under a modified timetable for the Australia Day public holiday on January 26, 2024. Most services across the state will follow a Saturday schedule, while the Swan Hill line trains will adhere to a Sunday timetable. This adjustment will affect various connections, particularly the Bendigo line.
Passengers traveling on the Bendigo line should note that the 3:47 PM train from Eaglehawk to Southern Cross will depart later than usual, now scheduled for 6:48 PM on Australia Day. This alteration is due to the Swan Hill services running according to the Sunday timetable.
In addition to the altered train schedules, all night coach services will be cancelled on Australia Day. Meanwhile, services running to and from Geelong will follow the Apollo Bay summer timetable.
For those planning to travel, it is recommended to check the updated schedules and plan journeys using the V-Line journey planner available at their official website. Passengers can also reach out to a V-Line team member by calling 1800 800 007 for assistance.
This adjustment aims to ensure that passengers are well-informed and able to make necessary travel arrangements in advance of the holiday.
