BREAKING: A 31-year-old man from the Central Coast has been charged with multiple break-ins and serious firearm and drug offenses following a police operation that uncovered illegal items at his residence. The suspect was arrested on January 16, 2024, after officers reportedly discovered heroin, methylamphetamine, and a stolen motorcycle at the property.
Authorities began their investigation last month when a motorcycle was reported stolen from a residence in Gosford. Witnesses indicated that three individuals had broken into a unit carpark on Whiteway Drive shortly before midnight on December 2, absconding with various items, including the motorcycle.
The investigation led Brisbane Water Police to a storage shed in Erina, where a search reportedly revealed not only the stolen motorcycle but also a firearm, ammunition, and illegal drugs. The police operation culminated in the arrest of the suspect on Sherwood Drive.
During the search of the suspect’s property, police seized 3.32 grams of heroin and 1.23 grams of methylamphetamine, alongside the stolen motorcycle and a number plate. Following the arrest, the man was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with a series of offenses, including aggravated break-and-enter, firearm violations, and drug possession.
Police have since refused bail, a decision that was formally upheld in Bail Court on the same day of the arrest. The accused is scheduled to appear in Gosford Local Court on January 21.
This case highlights ongoing concerns regarding property crime and drug-related offenses in the Central Coast region. Investigations remain active as authorities continue to seek further information and connections related to these incidents.
