Dancer Hannah Canon Joins Cast of Saturday Night Fever Musical

BREAKING: Western suburbs performer Hannah Canon has secured a coveted role in the highly anticipated production of Saturday Night Fever, set to premiere on January 8, 2026, at Melbourne’s historic Athenaeum Theatre. Canon triumphed over hundreds of hopefuls to join the ensemble cast of this iconic musical, which features classic disco hits from the Bee Gees like “Stayin’ Alive” and “How Deep Is Your Love.”

Canon expressed her excitement, stating, “You can’t help but want to dance when you hear the music in this iconic show, and I’m sure the audience will feel it too.” Her passion for dance began in her childhood in Melton, where she was raised by her Chilean mother alongside her four sisters. This production marks her first venture into musical theatre in Melbourne, an achievement that fills her with pride.

The Saturday Night Fever musical is not just a nostalgic trip back to the 1970s but also a celebration of the cultural impact of disco music and fashion. With its electric soundtrack featuring beloved tracks like “Night Fever,” “Tragedy,” and “More Than A Woman,” audiences can expect an exhilarating performance that brings the disco era to life.

Canon, a former National Latin Dance champion, has made a name for herself as a singer and performer across Australia and Europe. “Although I no longer live in Melton and now run my own dance studio, Canon Dance House, I cherish my roots and the strong arts community there,” she added.

This show promises to be a memorable experience, not only for Canon but also for the audience, who will be treated to an incredible display of talent. As excitement builds for the opening night, fans and theatre enthusiasts are encouraged to stay tuned for ticket information and updates on the production.

The urgency of this event cannot be overstated. With ticket sales expected to surge, now is the time for fans of musical theatre and disco to mark their calendars for what promises to be an unforgettable show. Don’t miss the chance to witness Hannah Canon and her fellow artists bring this legendary story to life!
