Driver Charged with Drug Possession After Police Find Meth

BREAKING: A woman has been charged with drug possession after police discovered methamphetamine, cannabis, and a glass pipe in her handbag during a traffic stop in Orange, Australia, on June 1, 2025, at 11:45 PM. Fiona Joy Thomas, 52, is facing multiple charges following the alarming incident.

Police stopped Thomas’s vehicle on March Street after suspecting she was in possession of illegal substances. During the search of the vehicle, authorities uncovered a handbag on the front passenger seat, which contained a small black bag with a pipe used for smoking meth, a glass jar with cannabis, and a clear plastic wrapper with 0.3 grams of methamphetamine.

Thomas admitted that the 10.4 grams of cannabis belonged to her and openly stated her intention to smoke the methamphetamine. This candid confession has intensified the case against her, leading to her immediate court appearance.

In court, Thomas pleaded guilty to the charges. Magistrate Gary Wilson announced that he would impose fines totaling $400 for her offenses. Specifically, she received a $150 fine for possessing cannabis, another $150 fine for possessing methamphetamine, and $200 for the glass pipe.

This incident raises significant concerns regarding drug use and possession in the community. The consequences of such actions can have far-reaching implications not just for the individual involved, but for public safety as well.

As authorities continue to address drug-related issues, residents are urged to remain vigilant. The court’s decision on this matter is set for July 24, 2025, where further developments are anticipated.
