Habanos Launches Exclusive Partagás Royales at Cannes Event

UPDATE: Habanos, S.A. has just unveiled the highly anticipated Partagás Royales vitola during the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, signaling a bold step in the premium tobacco market. This exclusive launch took place on September 30, 2025, at the prestigious L’Ondine – Vilebrequin La Plage restaurant, attracting key distributors and Habano enthusiasts from around the globe.

The Partagás Royales, measuring 48 ring gauge x 150mm in length, is a striking blend of tradition and innovation, designed to captivate discerning travelers. Encased in an elegant travel humidor containing 20 Habanos, this vitola pays homage to a classic format from the 1960s while presenting a fresh, contemporary look. This launch reinforces Habanos, S.A.’s commitment to the Duty Free & Travel Retail channels, where they bring the rich culture of Habanos to millions of travelers each year.

Maritza Carrillo González, Co-President of Habanos, S.A., emphasized the significance of this launch:

“This launch makes the Habano a true universal ambassador.”

The new vitola features robust flavors that promise an exceptional smoking experience, with tasting notes that evolve from clean cocoa to subtle oak, ensuring a luxurious experience for those who indulge.

The Partagás Royales is crafted “Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga” — entirely handmade with long filler — sourced from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba, celebrated for producing the world’s finest tobacco. This strategic launch comes in a year when Partagás commemorates its 180th anniversary, highlighting the brand’s historical significance and Habanos’ dedication to preserving its legacy through innovative offerings.

With a smoking time of approximately 45 to 60 minutes, the Partagás Royales provides a memorable experience, featuring a smooth, shiny wrapper and compact ash for an indulgent smoke. The perfect pairing for this vitola includes robust, long-aged spirits, ideally those matured in white oak barrels, enhancing the rich flavors of the cigar.

Habanos, S.A. continues to solidify its leadership in the global premium tobacco market with this latest addition to its exclusive portfolio, aimed directly at the Duty Free and Travel Retail sectors. As the demand for high-quality tobacco products grows worldwide, the introduction of Partagás Royales represents not just a product launch but a celebration of tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation.

Travelers and cigar aficionados are encouraged to seek out the Partagás Royales, available now in select locations. This launch not only enhances the travel retail experience but also sets a new standard in luxury for cigar enthusiasts everywhere.
