Annature Partners with OnboardMe to Enhance Client Onboarding

On September 15, 2025, Annature, a prominent eSignature and identity verification provider in Australia, announced a partnership with OnboardMe to enhance the onboarding experience for professional services firms. This collaboration aims to streamline the client intake process by integrating advanced identity verification and eSigning capabilities directly into OnboardMe’s platform.

OnboardMe simplifies client onboarding through smart forms and automated workflows, allowing firms to manage approvals and secure payment collections efficiently. With Annature’s technology embedded in the platform, firms can now comply with the identity verification requirements set by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), all within the onboarding workflow.

Strengthening Compliance in Client Onboarding

According to Corey Cacic, CEO of Annature, the importance of identity verification has escalated, particularly with the upcoming AML/CTF Tranche 2 regulations. He stated, “Identity verification is critical for accountants and bookkeepers, and with AML/CTF Tranche 2 on the horizon, the need for secure, purpose-built solutions has never been greater. We’re proud to support OnboardMe’s approach to compliance and simplicity.”

This partnership not only enhances identity verification but also allows for electronic signing of essential Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) forms. One notable form is the 362 Notification, which is utilized for nominating or ceasing a registered agent or updating a contact address. Previously a manual process, this form can now be completed and signed entirely online, significantly improving efficiency.

OnboardMe’s platform is already in use by numerous firms across Australia, enabling practices to collect client information, execute engagement letters, process payments, and verify identities seamlessly. This integration helps reduce delays and enhances compliance outcomes. Lee Williams, Co-Founder of OnboardMe, emphasized the mission of the platform: “Our mission has always been to remove the friction from onboarding and engagement. Annature’s tools make compliance seamless and ensure ease of use is always front and centre.”

Empowering Firms with Advanced Technology

Annature’s eSigning and identity verification platform is trusted by over 4,000 businesses across Australia, processing thousands of secure transactions weekly. Its API-first design allows OnboardMe to incorporate sophisticated verification and signing workflows with minimal overhead. This development provides small and mid-sized firms access to enterprise-grade compliance tools without significant financial burdens.

Cacic added, “We built Annature to work where businesses already work. This partnership is about delivering modern onboarding experiences with compliance built in.” The collaboration represents a significant step forward in the evolution of client onboarding, aligning technology with regulatory requirements to foster an efficient and secure process for professional services firms.
