Universal Story and Tamaris Aim for Third Consecutive Wins

A dynamic day of racing is set for Tuesday, featuring events at both Brighton and Southwell, broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing. Among the highlights, two horses, Universal Story and Tamaris, are looking to secure their third consecutive wins in the attheraces.com/marketmovers Handicap at Southwell, scheduled for 19:30.

Universal Story, trained by Jennie Candlish, has shown remarkable improvement, winning two previous races at Newcastle and Southwell within the past eight days. She now faces a six-pound penalty but appeared to have plenty left in the tank during her last victory, suggesting potential for further progress. On the other hand, Tamaris has not raced since an impressive performance at Wolverhampton in April, indicating that he may need time to regain his competitive edge after a lengthy absence. Despite this, he remains a contender under the guidance of the in-form James Owen team, and should not be underestimated. Alfie D is also expected to perform well among the other competitors.

Brighton Races Feature Talented Contenders

The second significant race of the day takes place at Brighton at 16:45, where Dinah Myte aims to overcome a six-pound weight increase in the JenningsBet In Andover Handicap. Trained by John Gallagher, this filly recently secured her first victory over a mile at Ffos Las. Although her prior performances were less impressive, her recent win shows she is capable of competing at a higher level.

Other notable participants in the race include Princess Pw, who remains a ten-race maiden but is positioned at a more competitive mark, and Clipsham Noble, who has previously won at this course and distance.

Feature Race at Southwell Draws Attention

At 18:00, the spotlight shifts back to Southwell for the feature race, the Arc £1 Million Bonus Has £150K Increase! Fillies’ Handicap. Lady Wingalong, a six-year-old trained by David Evans, has established herself as a solid competitor, achieving six wins in 32 races. Her most impressive performance came at Newbury last August, where she triumphed against eight opponents.

Challenging her will be Noel Fox, who transferred from Ralph Beckett to Jennie Candlish‘s stable in July. He appears to be regaining form, having recently finished fourth at Haydock and narrowly missing victory at Southwell last month. Additionally, Soho Square enters the race with limited experience, having run only three times, and will make her debut for Ed Bethell after switching from James Fanshawe.

As the day progresses, other races will feature Roman Spring, who looks to build on a recent course and distance win at 14:45, and Ciarrai Abu, who aims to achieve his first victory in the EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes at 15:15, marking his stable debut for Harry Eustace.

With a full day of racing ahead, the anticipation builds as both seasoned competitors and newcomers take to the tracks in pursuit of victory.
