Pixellot, the leading global streamer of youth and community sports, has announced a significant enhancement to its operations in Australia. The company will introduce an innovative AI-driven revenue-share model aimed at expanding coverage for schools, clubs, and sporting associations. This initiative is accompanied by the appointment of Dean Anglin as Chief Commercial Officer for Australia and New Zealand, effective January 5, 2026.
Anglin, a respected figure in the sports industry, has a decade of experience in promoting Australian basketball. He is recognized for his leadership in the national expansion of the NBL1 and possesses extensive relationships within the sports community. His expertise is expected to drive the adoption of Pixellot’s technology across various sporting organizations.
This announcement follows Pixellot’s recent five-year extension of its partnership with PlayOn Sports, a leading fan engagement platform in the United States. The extension emphasizes the company’s commitment to enhancing community sport through innovative technology while solidifying its operational foundation.
Pixellot’s new AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) model has already proven effective in the United States, where it operates in over 9,000 schools, streaming more than half a million events annually. The company plans to tailor this model to meet the specific needs of grassroots associations, clubs, and schools in Australia. Early adopters of the technology include Hockey Australia, Netball New Zealand, and local basketball organizations such as the Southern Districts Spartans in Queensland.
The AIaaS model automates production and personalizes content, helping organizations monetize their events through a per-player charging system that aligns well with the Australian market. “AIaaS represents a new way for technology partners to collaborate,” stated Doron Gerstel, CEO of Pixellot. He emphasized that expanding into Australia will aid sporting organizations in scaling efficiently, engaging with their audiences, and generating shared revenue.
Anglin expressed his enthusiasm about joining Pixellot, stating, “I’m excited to bring Pixellot’s proven technology to Australian sporting communities. Every club, every school, and every association deserves the chance to share their athletes’ moments with families and fans.” He noted that the AIaaS model not only enhances visibility for athletes but also creates genuine revenue opportunities for community organizations.
With the introduction of AIaaS in Australia, Pixellot is poised to redefine how community sports organizations engage with athletes and fans. This model supports sustainable revenue generation while fostering a vibrant sports culture at the grassroots level.
Since its inception in 2013, Pixellot has pioneered AI-automated sports capture, establishing itself as a leader in the industry. The company’s unique revenue-share model enables schools, clubs, and leagues to broadcast and monetize games that would otherwise remain unseen, creating lasting memories for communities and offering new pathways for athlete development and visibility.
