Knowledge Perk Coffee Co. to Launch Drive-Thru Café in Little River

Knowledge Perk Coffee Co. is set to expand its presence in South Carolina by opening its first drive-thru café in Little River, scheduled for fall 2025. This initiative marks a significant step for the company, which has experienced rapid growth, increasing its locations from five to ten in less than 18 months, as reported by The Post and Courier.

CEO Ryan Sanderson emphasized the success of their hybrid business model, which combines corporate and licensed cafés. “We aim to build a national brand with local roots, and moving from license to franchise while still expanding corporately is the next likely step toward that goal,” he stated.

Strategic Partnerships and Menu Offerings

Knowledge Perk is not only increasing its physical locations but also forming partnerships with educational institutions such as Coastal Carolina University and the University of South Carolina, as well as events like the United States Disc Golf Championship. These collaborations are expected to enhance brand visibility and community engagement.

The company’s commitment to quality is evident in its sourcing practices. Knowledge Perk focuses on green coffee sourced through direct trade, aiming to support coffee-growing communities. Their mission is to redefine the coffee experience for consumers, as reflected on their website.

The menu features a variety of beverages, including cold brew, lattes, espresso drinks, matcha, and tea. Seasonal specialties like the Cookie Butter Latte and Honey Badger Latte are anticipated to attract customers. Additionally, the café will offer food options such as Bronx-sourced bagels, croissants, and a selection of sandwiches including turkey and provolone, caprese chicken salad, and roast beef melts.

Expanding Footprint and Future Plans

Founded in 2017 by Ryan Sanderson and Jonathan Taylor, Knowledge Perk has established locations in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Charlotte, Spartanburg, and Myrtle Beach. Two more cafés are on the horizon: one located in the lobby of Gateway 737 in Columbia and another at The Mill at Fountain Inn in Spartanburg.

As the company continues to grow, it is also expanding its retail presence online, offering coffee blends that include limited releases, signature blends, and single-origin selections from various growers and regions.

Knowledge Perk’s strategic growth plan highlights its ambition to become a significant player in the coffee industry, blending local community engagement with a national brand vision. Further updates on the Little River drive-thru café and other expansions are anticipated as the company continues to develop its brand.
