THub Cafe Expands to Berkeley with New Location Opening Soon

THub Cafe, a family-owned establishment renowned for its handcrafted boba, coffee, and freshly made pastries, is set to open a second location in Berkeley. The new café will be situated at 2284-2286 Shattuck Avenue, in the former site of Western Pacific, according to a recent liquor license application. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the new venue promises to deliver THub’s signature menu items, including a variety of boba teas, coffee, biryani, snacks, and pastries.

The original THub Cafe opened in Mountain House in February 2022 and has quickly garnered a reputation for its high-quality beverages and made-from-scratch food. The Berkeley location marks the brand’s first expansion outside its founding city. Positioned on a bustling corridor, Shattuck Avenue offers significant pedestrian traffic and a diverse mix of retail and dining options, which is expected to enhance THub’s visibility and accessibility.

New Offerings and Community Focus

Customers visiting the new Berkeley location can look forward to a welcoming environment and convenient ordering options through THub’s website or mobile app. The café aims to maintain its family-owned ethos, ensuring the same level of attention to detail and quality that patrons have come to expect from the original site.

Menu highlights will feature a broad selection of boba teas, including classic milk teas, taro, and Thai milk tea, alongside signature drinks such as Oreo and Biscoff lattes. Food offerings will include boneless chicken and paneer vegetable biryani, chicken popcorn, samosas, sandwiches, and house-made pastries. For those planning larger gatherings, THub will also provide catering options.

The owners of THub Cafe emphasize quality and community as core principles. Each item is crafted on-site, with a strong commitment to using fresh ingredients. Customers are encouraged to order ahead through the app, which includes a rewards program that allows them to earn points with each purchase.

Engaging with the Local Community

The strategic decision to move into Berkeley reflects THub Cafe’s desire to connect with the city’s vibrant student population and the diverse local community. The new location is expected to draw in both regular customers and new visitors eager to experience THub’s unique offerings.

By expanding to this new site, THub Cafe seeks to enhance its reach while continuing to provide the personalized service that has defined its first location. The brand’s commitment to blending traditional flavors with modern beverage offerings will remain a focal point as it grows.

This expansion is not just a business opportunity; it represents a chance to foster community ties and build lasting relationships with customers in a new environment. As THub Cafe prepares for its opening, the anticipation among potential patrons is palpable, marking a significant chapter in the café’s journey.
