Denise Van Outen Announces First Album in Over Two Decades

Denise Van Outen is set to release her first album in over two decades, titled A Bit of Me, scheduled for launch in October 2025. The 51-year-old former television presenter, known for her role on The Big Breakfast, has shifted her focus to acting and the West End. This highly anticipated album marks a significant return to music for Van Outen.

The album is described as a “collection of intimate interpretations of timeless songs.” According to a press release, each track has been transformed into a beautiful ballad that features piano arrangements, warm harmonies, lush strings, and soaring harps. Produced by Jamie Sellers, who has collaborated with notable artists including Elton John and Ed Sheeran, the album includes classics such as “What Kind of Fool Am I” and “New York State of Mind,” along with pop favorites like George Michael‘s “Different Corner” and Gloria Estefan‘s “Anything For You.”

In addition to these well-known tracks, the album features a brand new song, the title track A Bit of Me, co-written by Van Outen and Sellers. A duet with Duncan James of Blue and a cover of the classic “That’s What Friends Are For” are also included. The release announcement emphasized that the album promises to be “a contemplative and emotional journey” that will resonate with fans of Van Outen’s distinctive performance style.

To celebrate the album’s announcement on August 28, 2025, Van Outen will unveil “The Glory Of Love,” a cinematic and romantic rendition of Benny Goodman‘s timeless hit.
