Emma Stone Waits in Cold for Jen Shah’s Sentencing

Hollywood actress Emma Stone has demonstrated her commitment to reality television by braving the cold in New York City to support Jen Shah, a star from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC). Stone shared her experience waiting outside the courthouse during Shah’s sentencing on charges related to a nationwide fraud telemarketing scheme. Shah was convicted in 2023, and her legal proceedings have captivated fans of the series.

In an interview with W Magazine, Stone revealed that she and her brother endured freezing temperatures for two hours, eager to catch a glimpse of Shah. “I am really invested. When Jen Shah was getting sentenced in New York, my brother and I waited outside for two hours in the freezing cold just for a chance to see her,” Stone explained. She added, “Her getting arrested on camera was wild.”

Stone’s Fascination with RHOSLC

Shah, a prominent figure on RHOSLC, appeared in three seasons of the show. Stone expressed her admiration for the series, stating, “You’ve never seen anyone dress like this in real life.” Her enthusiasm even extended to another reality star, Bronwyn Newport, whose unique fashion choices were highlighted during a recent episode. Stone noted, “I was catching up on two episodes. They’re on a boat trip, and Bronwyn is wearing a life raft around her waist, but it’s part of her sailing outfit. Everything is sort of a costume. I love it.”

This is not the first time Stone has spoken highly of Shah. During the 2023 premiere of her film Poor Things, she mentioned to Vulture her interest in a potential biopic about Shah’s life, expressing enthusiasm for the idea if it were directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.

Clarifying Casting Rumors

In her discussion with V Magazine, Stone also addressed speculation regarding her involvement in a film portraying Miss Piggy. She emphatically rejected the rumors, calling them “the biggest insult” to the beloved Muppet. “I will not have her name dragged through the mud like that,” Stone asserted. “Why would I play a literal star? She’s the greatest. No, of course I’m not playing Miss Piggy. And neither is [Jennifer Lawrence].”

Despite not taking on the role of Miss Piggy, Stone’s playful spirit remains evident as she imagines an entertaining collaboration with the character. “I would DIE to see a musical number with those two doing a cheeky box step together, with over-the-top costumes,” she said.

Emma Stone’s dedication to reality television and her candid remarks about her interests provide a glimpse into the intersection of Hollywood and popular culture, showcasing her ability to connect with fans on a personal level.
