Disco sensation Sophie Ellis-Bextor is set to conclude her Australian tour in Perth this summer, marking a significant return to the stage for the pop icon. Scheduled for February 12, 2026, she will perform at the Ice Cream Factory, following shows in major cities including Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
Known for her unique blend of 80s synth pop and disco, Ellis-Bextor rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like “Get Over You” and “Take Me Home.” At 46, she continues to captivate audiences, recently reigniting interest with her classic track “Murder on the Dancefloor,” which featured in the 2023 film Saltburn. This resurgence, complemented by a cover from Australian indie band Royel Otis, has introduced her music to a new generation.
New Music and Upcoming Tour Dates
As part of her tour, Ellis-Bextor will also introduce new singles “Dolce Vita” and “Taste” from her latest album Perimenopop, which was released on February 2, 2026. Expressing her excitement, she shared with fans, “I’ve been bringing my new album Perimenopop around with me on my travels these past couple of weeks and I must say, she is great company.”
Reflecting on the timing of her album release, Ellis-Bextor noted the seasonal changes, saying, “Sometimes there’s a sprinkle of serendipity that really ties a creative project together. Releasing Perimenopop as autumn arrives and the leaves change colour is absolutely perfect and it feels so right.”
Her previous visit to Perth was in 2024, where she served as a support act for the British boyband Take That. Fans can look forward to a lively performance featuring both old favorites and fresh tracks.
The tour schedule includes:
– February 6, 2026: Forum, Melbourne, VIC
