HKUST Celebrates 12 Scholars Named Highly Cited Researchers 2025

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has announced that twelve of its scholars have been included in Clarivate Analytics’ Highly Cited Researchers 2025 list. This recognition highlights HKUST’s commitment to research excellence and its significant contributions to various fields impacting socioeconomic development and technological innovation.

The Highly Cited Researchers list identifies the world’s leading scholars based on their research output. This year, a total of 6,868 researchers from 60 countries and regions earned this distinction, reflecting their exceptional performance in producing highly cited papers. These papers rank in the top 1% by citations for their respective fields and publication years in the Web of Science over the past eleven years.

The HKUST scholars who made the Highly Cited Researchers 2025 list are:
