Antigravity A1: The World’s First 8K 360 Drone Launches Globally

The unveiling of the Antigravity A1 has marked a significant advancement in drone technology. As of December 4, 2025, this innovative all-in-one 8K 360 drone is now available for consumers worldwide. Designed to revolutionize the way aerial photography is captured, the A1 eliminates traditional filming constraints by allowing users to “fly first, frame later.” The drone is available for purchase via Antigravity’s official website and authorized retailers.

Antigravity, a company incubated by Insta360, aims to redefine the drone category by merging high-resolution 8K 360 capture capabilities with user-friendly motion controls. Michael Shabun, spokesperson for Antigravity, stated, “A1 takes the freedom of 360 capture and gives it wings.” The drone’s design allows it to capture high-quality footage seamlessly, encouraging users to focus on the experience of flight rather than the technicalities of filming.

Technical Specifications and Features

The A1 is equipped with a dual-lens, 1/1.28-inch sensor system capable of recording in resolutions of 8K30, 5.2K60, and 4K100. This enables the drone to capture its surroundings without the need for gimbal adjustments or blind spots, creating a full-sphere recording in one flight. Users can then edit their footage to create smooth pans, controlled reframes, and special effects, such as Tiny Planet and subject tracking.

One of the standout features of the A1 is its intuitive control system. Instead of traditional joystick controls, the drone responds to natural hand movements through a device called the Grip. This one-handed motion controller translates gestures into precise flight commands, allowing users to navigate and perform complex maneuvers with ease. When paired with the Vision Goggles, operators can immerse themselves in the experience, using advanced optics and dual Micro OLED displays that enhance the visual field.

Innovative Flight Automation and Sustainability

The A1 introduces the Sky Path system, which offers pilots the ability to design, save, and automate intricate flight paths. This feature allows users to let the drone operate autonomously, freeing them to focus on creative direction or simply enjoy the flight. Weighing just under 249 grams, the A1 is compliant with regulatory standards in numerous regions and boasts a flight time of 25 minutes along with a transmission range of up to 14 kilometers.

Antigravity has also prioritized sustainability in the A1’s design. The drone features user-replaceable lenses and a payload detection system that prevents unsafe modifications or weaponization, reflecting the company’s commitment to responsible technology.

The Antigravity A1 has been well received within the industry, garnering multiple awards, including the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2025, recognition in TIME’s Best Inventions 2025, the Good Design Award 2025, and the Best of Innovation honor at the CES Innovation Awards 2026.

As consumers look for innovative ways to capture their adventures, the Antigravity A1 stands poised to become a popular choice for both amateur and professional drone enthusiasts. Its combination of cutting-edge technology and user-friendly features promises to change the landscape of aerial photography and videography.

The Antigravity A1 is now available for purchase at the Antigravity Store, Best Buy, and various authorized retail partners globally. The launch of this drone is a testament to the evolving capabilities of consumer technology, making high-quality aerial filming accessible to a broader audience.
