Samsung Launches New Portable Monitors with 4K Display

Samsung has unveiled two new monitors in its premium Movingstyle lineup, designed to cater to both portability and high-resolution needs. The Movingstyle (LSM7F) is particularly notable for its integrated battery, allowing for up to three hours of operation without a power connection. This monitor features a 27-inch LED display with QHD resolution (1440p) and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, it supports touchscreen functionality and HDR10+, enhancing user interactivity and visual quality.

The Movingstyle (LSM7F) is powered by a robust 69.3Wh battery and comes with a 100W power adapter for charging. Connectivity options are extensive, including WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI, and two USB-C ports. This monitor runs on Tizen OS, which supports various virtual assistants such as Bixby, Alexa, and Google Assistant, alongside access to Samsung TV Plus. Users can also enjoy a curated selection of over 4,000 pieces of art through the Samsung Art Store. Audio capabilities feature built-in 10W speakers with Dolby Atmos support, providing an immersive sound experience. The monitor’s rollable stand offers adjustable height, tilt, swivel, and pivot support, and is compatible with the SlimFit Cam.

In addition to the Movingstyle (LSM7F), Samsung introduced the Movingstyle M7 Smart Monitor (M70F), which boasts a larger 32-inch flat VA panel with 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. This monitor is geared towards productivity, delivering a color gamut of 1 billion colours and a response time of just 4ms. While it does not feature a battery, the M70F offers advanced functionalities through its Tizen OS, including Mobile to Screen, Screen Mirroring, Sound Mirroring, and Samsung Gaming Hub.

Security is also a priority, with Samsung Knox providing protection and up to seven years of OS updates. Connectivity for the M7 Smart Monitor includes WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, two HDMI ports, USB 3, and USB Type-C. Its 10W speakers come equipped with Adaptive Sound+, heightening audio quality. The adjustable height stand includes pivot and swing support, while the monitor is powered by an AC 100-240V adapter and includes a dedicated remote control.

Both monitors have been launched in the US market with competitive pricing. The Movingstyle (LSM7F) is available for US$1,199 (approximately A$1,800), while the Movingstyle M7 Smart Monitor is priced at US$699.99 (around A$1,050). These products can be purchased through Samsung’s official website and select retail partners. For a limited time, customers can also take advantage of a US$200 (approximately A$300) credit when purchasing through Samsung.com. As of now, details regarding Australian pricing and availability remain unannounced.
