Xiaomi Unveils AI Innovations at Internet Partner Conference 2026

Xiaomi showcased its vision for the future of technology at the Xiaomi Internet Partner Conference 2026 held on November 17, 2025, in Thailand. The event gathered global partners to discuss the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing user experiences and expanding the internet ecosystem.

During the conference, Xiaomi introduced four innovative on-device AI features: AI Search, Creative Tools, Pet Companion, and Shopping Assistant. “We regard exceptional user experience as the core of our mission,” stated Qiang Song, General Manager of Xiaomi’s International Internet Business Department (Xiaomi IIB). He emphasized the importance of collaboration with partners to capitalize on opportunities in this rapidly evolving AI landscape.

The Pet Companion feature introduces a virtual pet that interacts with users through actions such as eating, sleeping, and playing. This feature integrates seamlessly with system applications, offering functional capabilities like step counting and weather updates, all while responding to voice commands. This design aims to create a unique, emotionally engaging experience for users.

Xiaomi’s Shopping Assistant is another significant innovation, enabling users to streamline their shopping experiences. This AI-driven tool identifies product details, locates similar items, and allows users to claim discounts with a single tap. The floating product interface enhances accessibility, making the shopping process more efficient.

Strengthening the Ecosystem

Beyond its AI advancements, Xiaomi is committed to enhancing its open and sustainable ecosystem for applications, games, content, and services. The introduction of Minicard, an on-device capability, aims to improve the app distribution experience for GetApps, Xiaomi’s official app store for international markets. Recent updates focus on simplifying app publishing processes and optimizing user engagement through actionable insights.

In the gaming sector, Xiaomi has successfully collaborated with over 450 developers to launch in-app purchase (IAP) titles, resulting in a remarkable 90% annual revenue growth in supported regions. The team utilizes on-device resources for increased visibility through placements on full-screen, home pages, and dedicated gaming tabs, extending their reach to other premium Xiaomi media channels.

Xiaomi has also introduced an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) native advertising framework that enables brands to engage users through contextually integrated touchpoints across devices. Additionally, the Xiaomi ADS platform offers a comprehensive advertising solution, assisting partners in managing their advertising strategies effectively. With its proprietary return on advertising spend (ROAS) algorithm, the platform optimizes campaign performance, fostering sustainable growth within the ecosystem.

Leading the AI Revolution

As AI continues to reshape technology and user experiences, Xiaomi positions itself as a pivotal player in this transformation. By bridging the gap between hardware and software, as well as intelligence and creativity, the company aims to create a cohesive internet ecosystem.

“Through continuous innovation and deep collaboration, we are building an open and sustainable internet ecosystem for all by empowering users and partners with our AI capabilities,” Qiang Song remarked during the conference. This commitment to innovation and partnership indicates Xiaomi’s strategic direction as it navigates the opportunities presented by the AI era.
