Frost & Sullivan Honors Top Manufacturers at 2025 IMEA Awards

UPDATE: The 2025 India Manufacturing Excellence Awards (IMEA) and Sustainability 4.0 Awards were held last night in Mumbai, India, celebrating top manufacturers and sustainability leaders in the industry. This prestigious event, hosted by Frost & Sullivan, gathered influential professionals and showcased the critical intersection of manufacturing excellence and sustainability.

The awards took place on December 20, 2025, at the luxurious ITC Grand Maratha, emphasizing the ongoing transformation in India’s manufacturing landscape amid rising digital and environmental challenges. The recognition of these leaders is vital as the industry adapts to a rapidly changing global marketplace.

Now in its 21st edition, the IMEA remains India’s most respected assessment-driven awards program. The rigorous evaluation process involved over 2,000 manufacturing sites, providing organizations with detailed insights and benchmarks to drive continuous improvement.

Key highlights from the evening included the opening keynote by His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Abdulla Al Raqbani, who emphasized the future of sustainable business practices. The introduction of a new award category, CEO of the Year, was inaugurated with Gurpratap S. Boparai from Suzlon Energy Limited as the first recipient.

The IMEA 2025 Apex Winners were announced, with major awards going to:
– **Indian Corporate of the Year**: Hindalco Industries Limited
– **Indian Manufacturer of the Year**: Vedanta Limited
– **Smart Factory of the Year**: Utkal Alumina International Limited

The event also spotlighted the Sustainability 4.0 Awards, now in its 16th edition, which honors organizations committed to integrating sustainability into their core operations. The Sustainable Factory of the Year was awarded to Royal Enfield, showcasing the significance of environmental responsibility in manufacturing.

With industry leaders discussing future strategies, Aroop Zutshi, Global Managing Partner at Frost & Sullivan, stated, “The future of Indian industry will be defined by organizations that combine operational excellence with transformational growth.” This reflects a growing consensus that sustainability is not just a goal but a necessity for long-term resilience.

Attendees included executives from various sectors, discussing how innovation can coexist with resilience in India’s industrial landscape. The comprehensive awards program is supported by several key partners, including Dassault Systèmes and Cavin InfoTech, who are committed to advancing digital transformation and sustainable growth across India.

As businesses prepare for the next phase of manufacturing excellence, experts like Rahul Sharma, VP & Global Head of Digital Transformation and Sustainability, emphasize the role of analytics and AI in embedding sustainability into core operations.

The IMEA and Sustainability 4.0 Awards thus provide a structured roadmap for companies aiming to achieve intelligent, responsible growth, ensuring they remain competitive in a global market.

This year’s event marks a significant milestone in the journey toward a more sustainable and innovative manufacturing sector in India. For those interested in the future of manufacturing and sustainability, the lessons learned and recognized at this event will be pivotal.
