Mediaweek 100 Unveils Bold New Format for 2025, Submissions Open Now

BREAKING: The highly anticipated Mediaweek 100 has officially returned for 2025, introducing a bold new format aimed at celebrating the leaders transforming Australia’s media and marketing landscape. Scheduled for October 24, 2025, at Crown Sydney, this year’s event promises to be more than a mere roll-call of names; it will spotlight the diverse array of executives, creatives, and innovators whose influence has shaped the industry over the past year.

This year, the Mediaweek 100 adopts a revolutionary structure featuring five themed lists, each profiling 20 influential leaders. This revamped approach expands representation within the industry and emphasizes how power and impact manifest across the media landscape.

The five categories include:

Power 20: Highlighting Australia’s most influential executives who are steering the strategic agenda, forging partnerships, and driving significant business outcomes.

Growth 20: Celebrating leaders who have generated measurable momentum, including audience growth and new revenue streams, from agencies to media organizations.

Innovation 20: Honoring visionaries who are redefining media, marketing, and technology intersections, leading to new platforms and transformative practices.

Influence 20: Recognizing public-facing executives who shape industry narratives through their visibility and communication prowess.

Impact 20: Acknowledging leaders facilitating meaningful change within their organizations, focusing on diversity, sustainability, and modern leadership benchmarks.

Additionally, the Agency 50 returns in a reimagined format, now judged on merit rather than size. A new advisory panel will guide the updated criteria, ensuring recognition of creativity and measurable impact across both large holding groups and independent agencies.

Submissions for all categories are now open, inviting individuals to showcase their achievements and insights to support the editorial team’s review.

The Mediaweek Icon will also be awarded at the event, honoring a titan of the industry whose career has significantly impacted Australia’s media sector. This prestigious accolade recognizes outstanding influence and contributions to the industry’s growth and transformation.
