Students Raise $1,220 for Local Cancer Support Centre

Students from Nangiloc Colignan and District Primary School have successfully raised $1,220 to support the Dr. Julie Zrna Centre, a local charity dedicated to cancer support. This initiative was part of a school-wide project where students were encouraged to develop their own businesses, all aimed at benefiting the community.

Through a mini market project, students collaborated to create various business ideas, showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit while contributing to a meaningful cause. The event not only provided a platform for learning about business concepts but also emphasized the importance of community involvement.

Dr. Julie Zrna Centre plays a vital role in providing resources and support to individuals affected by cancer. The funds raised by the students will directly contribute to the centre’s programs, enhancing the support available to local families facing the challenges of cancer treatment and recovery.

The success of this fundraising effort highlights the potential impact young people can have when they come together for a common goal. By engaging in such initiatives, students gain valuable life skills while making a positive difference in their community.

The mini market project serves as a testament to the creativity and dedication of the students at Nangiloc Colignan and District Primary School. Their initiative not only raised funds but also fostered a spirit of collaboration and compassion among the students, reinforcing the essential values of empathy and social responsibility.
