Plans are underway for the opening of a new establishment in Belmont Central, located at 5650 W Diversey Avenue. The forthcoming Dany Sports Bar aims to provide a vibrant location for cocktails and socializing, with the owner, Dionicio Arguello, anticipating a launch around the start of the new year.
The space previously housed the Okicim establishment and will be adjacent to the popular Golden Tuzo restaurant. Arguello has submitted a liquor license application, marking a significant step toward bringing the bar to life.
In an interview with What Now Chicago, Arguello confirmed that the initial focus will be on a drink menu featuring cocktails and beer. While there is potential for food offerings in the future, that will not be part of the initial launch. This choice reflects a strategy to streamline the opening process, allowing the bar to establish itself in the community before expanding its offerings.
Belmont Central, a neighborhood about a half-hour from downtown Chicago, is known for its rich tapestry of Latino-owned businesses. The bar’s location places it near Taqueria Diversey, further enhancing the area’s appeal as a local dining and entertainment hub.
Arguello expressed enthusiasm about the project and noted that he would be sharing updates as construction progresses. Currently, there is no social media presence for Dany Sports Bar, but further information is expected to be released in the coming months.
As the new year approaches, the Belmont Central community eagerly anticipates the arrival of Dany Sports Bar, which promises to add to the vibrant nightlife of the area.
