Guy Sebastian Launches 100 Times Around The Sun Tour in Australia

Guy Sebastian.

Guy Sebastian has announced an extensive Australian tour to celebrate the release of his latest album, 100 Times Around The Sun, debuting on March 15, 2024. The ARIA Award-winning artist will perform across multiple cities, including a much-anticipated show at RAC Arena in Perth on May 15. This tour marks Sebastian’s most significant national outing to date, featuring all-ages performances that promise to engage fans across the country.

The tour will commence in Newcastle on April 16 and will travel to various locations, such as Canberra, Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns, Gold Coast, Sydney, Wollongong, Adelaide, Hobart, and Melbourne. Sebastian has expressed great excitement about returning to the stage, particularly noting his last performance in Perth in 2021 as one of the highlights of his career.

“I think it’s been my biggest single show on one of my own tours I’ve ever done in my life,” Sebastian remarked from his studio in Sydney. He added, “I’ve done big things like singing for Eurovision and the Pope, but I definitely will never forget the RAC show.”

Fans can expect a dynamic setlist that includes hits such as “Battle Scars,” “Before I Go,” and “Choir,” as well as fresh tracks from the new album. 100 Times Around The Sun is described as a heartfelt record that encapsulates optimism and showcases Sebastian’s powerful vocal range.

To ensure the album’s quality, Sebastian stepped back from his role as a coach on The Voice to focus on his music. “I had a fair bit going on just with life, personally and professionally. It took a bit of time to realize I just couldn’t do it all and finish the album,” he explained. “So I kind of put the TV stuff away for a while just to give myself the headspace to be able to get creative and stay in that zone.”

Sebastian elaborated on his meticulous approach to the album, stating, “I feel like I’ve given everything I could possibly give to this album, as far as my time and my input, and the musicians that I’ve gathered.” The album features collaborations with prominent artists, including vocalists who have worked with Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, and Ariana Grande, showcasing a blend of talent that Sebastian describes as “musician heaven.”

His previous album, Truth, released in 2020, was emotionally deep, while his new project aims to evoke a sense of joy. “I really honestly just wanted it to reflect joy, like I wanted it just to come back to a place of feel-good soul and makes me want to love people more,” he noted. This new album reflects his appreciation for the importance of his inner circle and a shift away from trying to please everyone.

Sebastian’s impressive career includes over 1.3 billion global streams, seven ARIA Awards, 82 ARIA Platinum certifications, and six number one singles.

Pre-sale tickets for the tour will be available on Monday at 1 PM local time, with Telstra customers able to access tickets on Tuesday at 1 PM. General public sales will commence on Friday at 12 PM. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early to experience this exciting return of one of Australia’s most beloved performers.
